a-pianist: One of my favorite pianists, the beautiful Alice Sara Ott performing at the Yellow Lounge, a club in Berlin, Germany and a more casual setting for Classical Music. I really appreciate her efforts to bring Classical Music to a more “everyday” setting. I hope that this generation of musicians can weaken these unfair notions that Classical Music belongs to some stiff, snobby, elite crowd. It’s a wonderful genre of music that offers a commentary on our shared human realities - as all music is. I hope to one day find a cool, casual location to play piano for people, dressed simply in a sport coat and jeans. Don’t need a tux to share good music with people.
